Earth Day Sustainable Living Event

In celebration of Earth Day, the Alachua County Office of Waste Alternatives is partnering with the Florida Museum of Natural History and the Harn Museum to teach Alachua County residents about sustainable living practices. The free event will take place Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the corner of Hull Road and NW 34th Sreet in Gainesville, FL.

Waste Alternatives staff will be on site with games and crafts for children and information about recycling, composting and other waste reduction activities that individuals can implement to reduce their environmental impact.

For more info about how to Embrace Zero Waste, contact the Alachua County Office of Waste Alternatives at 352-374-5213, or visit www.thewastewatcher.com.
